Christian Bache Gabrielsen's grandfather Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen was born in Holmestrand in Norway, but he emigrated to France after that he felt in love with a beautiful French woman. Like many other immigrants from Norway, he worked hard and made wise choices, and he ended up being the owner of a famous cognac house.
