Telemark Heritage helping visitors
To help visitors find information about their roots does not always limit to Telemark. When Juven Tours from Fargo ND came to Skien in August, one of his guests, Mae R. Valencia from Black Creek in Wisconsin, hoped to see the church and the town where two of her anacestors were married. (more).
Telemark Heritage was asked to help, and we brought Mae to Stavern and to Stavern Church. Mae's ancestors, Lars Olsen from Larvik and Anne Johanne Tellefsdtr. were married in Stavern Church on July 5, 1845. Mae found Stavern to be a very nice town, and she was so glad that she got the opportunity to visit the church. We spent more than one hour looking around in Stavern.
