Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle on the move.
America's largest museum devoted to preserving the nation's Nordic heritage moves in the Summer or Fall of 2011 into a new state-of-art facility in Seattle's Ballard District, the heart of the Northwest's Scandinavian community since the 1880's.
The new Nordic Heritage Museum will express the best in Nordic design and provide the space, location, and stature to engage future generations in learning about the Nordic immigrant experience in the Northwest and Scandinavian art and culture—past, present, and future.
The campaign for a new Museum unites all Nordics in the Northwest behind a project that will produce an exciting and vibrant center for learning, celebrating and preservation.
